Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Gulf Shores 2013 Adventure Begins

Finally, time to make a new post!

All good Binns memories start with, as Richard calls it, sweet nectar (aka Mt. Dew).

The Binns crew started out yesterday afternoon for our annual family gulf shores trip.  I was so proud of myself for booking a room on line to save $10, only to get there at 11pm last night, to a town out of power!  Vicksburg, MS had been hit by an electrical storm.  Poor town.  When we finally found the hotel (no power meant no lights on the hotel signs), the front desk clerk gave us our money back due to no air and a mosquito issue.  We then were on a search for a hotel (where money was no longer a concern.

We finally checked into a hotel in Jackson, MS at 1:15 am.  Thank goodness checkout wasn't until 11am.  Did I mention we somehow ended up in the scary part of town at midnight last night and was never so grateful that Richard was a redneck and "packing"

We are excited about a week of sleeping, eating my very favorite foods, and reading!  Oh, and swimming of course.

Beach-here we come!
