Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Life is Good! Gulf Shores Recap 2013

It was another wonderful year of beach family and fun.  I believe this was our 27 or 28 year at the beach.  We ate, played, sun bathed, read, slept, ate some more, played some more, read some more, and oh yes, ate some more!  I LOVE SEAFOOD!  It was such a blessing to spend yet another year with my grandparents, parents, siblings and their families.  What a gift to experience year after year.

I was driving my grandfather to lunch one day, and he just couldn't quit talking about how blessed we are.  He is so right.  My family, although we are a mix of many personalities and points of view, love each other and care for each other very much.  We are definitely one of the more supportive families I have ever heard of.  I am grateful.

With my grandmother's failing health, I cherish each moment I have with her and my grandfather.  I hope we have another year together next year, but for now, I will only focus on this year food, fun, and laughter!

Ba Ba Phil and Paige love their grandsons!
Windblown and loving it!
I'm the King of the Beach!
Beach Buddies!
Mom are these smiles good enough yet?
Annual trip to "The Track fun park."  My dad is a saint for taking these boys each year!
It is my boys favorite part of the trip.
Clay did such a great job decorating our July 4th Cake!
The Annual Family Monopoly game.  Clay and Caleb played for the first time this year!
Yep, they loved it and are super competitive.  Notice the women no longer play!
It just got too much.  No chatting is allowed - only serious play!
My Dad the servant!  My Dad works so hard each night to make us feel special.
He cooks, serves, and cleans up.  What a guy!
 The Out Take Photo's
