| The Cousins and Taco |
Its been quite a week in the Binns household. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- While moving our last minute items out of the house, Clay got a stomach virus at Aunt Kristy's house. He then had to lay on a borrowed cot in our empty house while we carried out box after box.
- After moving everything out of the house, our buyers decided to apply for a different type of loan, so we won't be closing for an additional two weeks. Oh well, at least we are all moved out. One less worry. Not sure if my brother - in - law and sister - in - law are as excited about us moving out, being that we are now Moved IN with them :)
- Not only have we taken over Reagan and Kristy's home, Caleb also came down with the stomach virus a few days later. I am just praying her children don't get sick.
- We are living out of suitcases, so if we see us in the same outfit over and over, its because we can't find any of our other clothes :)
- Oh, Taco also got sick at Reagan and Kristy's. I bet they are so ready for us to leave.
Things I have learned:
- I am grateful that I do not travel for a living or that I am not homeless permanently.
- I very much appreciate the generosity of Reagan and Kristy. I don't know what we would do without them hosting us. We have really enjoyed our time with them and their boys. I don't think the boys are going to want to leave. As you can see in the pics above. They love their cousins. This has been like a vacation to them. We have missed them so much over the past two years while they lived away. We are definitely glad they moved back :)
- I took living close to school for granted. I definitely learned that I like living in the same town as we go to school. Reagan and Kristy live in Rogers. Getting the boys up an extra 30 minutes this past week has been tough, but they have done great.
- I am surprisingly excited about our little Cottage. I love watching it go from Trash to Treasure and I appreciate the great job Northwest Arkansas Restore It is doing. I highly recommend them.
- I am grateful for a roof over my head of any type. I know there are many people who do not have a safe place to call home. God is teaching me so much about appreciating all HE has given me.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
It has been a wonderful weekend! My parents came in town to see the boys play soccer. They games were great fun! We had all three of our dogs and my dad was on Puppy Patrol :) He was a big hit with the kids at the field, especially Caleb. Mom and I had fun chit chatting and catching up. My parents are such a blessing to me.
We have also had a great time being a part of Heather Wills and BJ Stigall's wedding preparations. Caleb is the Ring Bearer and I cannot wait to post pics of him with the wedding party. What an exciting time.
Although we feel a bit displaced at the moment, and we are very worn out, we know that no matter where we are or where we go, God is always with us, directing us and guiding us and never forsaking us. We are very blessed.
Have a great week!
