Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Humbled by My Son!

Its been a while since I blogged, but we are on vacation, so I wanted to make a post.

After a long day of travel, we checked into our beautiful hotel room. I was a bit grouchy and complained about our view (not sure where my poor attitude came from), but Clay quickly put me in my place. He said, "well, at least we have a room." Ouch. I had to quickly apologize for my negative comment and straighten up. Even, mostly appreciative mommy's can have a moment of failure.

Thank goodness God uses our children to teach US from time to time. Just wanted to share this incase you ever wondered if you were the only imperfect mom :)

Do everything without complaining and arguing, (Philippians 2:14 NLT)

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14 NIV)

Photo Note: At check in, we each received a toboggan. What a great gift!
