Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Time to get up for school!
On our Way!

Out front with Momma!

Walking in with Dada!

Sitting in our Seat!
I just can't believe my baby boy is in school. His first week was filled with excitement.
  • We had our first homework assignment on Tuesday - writing his name 5 times.
  • He ate in the cafeteria for the first time - He is in the orange group. He so seriously told me that they had tray lunches for those who "forget their lunch box." One day I will allow him to eat a tray lunch, but I am holding on at least one little boy act for now :)
  • He was so excited to play on his new Kindergarten playground. He especially likes the Monkey Bars. He couldn't wait to show us how he climbed on them at Parent Night!
  • He had his first Spanish class on Friday - so cool. In the car on Friday he started saying, "Azul, Roho, Hola, and Adios." I am so excited for him and I can't wait to see what I will learn from him.
  • We love his new teacher. She is so kind and sweet. What a blessing!
  • He had his first Art and Music class today. He liked Art, but he was disappointed that he didn't get to play an instrument in Music class - hopefully he will get that chance soon :)
  • He came home early last week and told me how if you don't get in trouble you get a play dollar and at the end of the week if you have five dollars you get to get a prize from the treasure box. He was so proud, and so was I, when on Friday he got to get a prize. He sure wants to be a good boy.

We are so proud of our little boy! I can't wait to see all he will learn this year. I just pray for God's protection and that Clay will shine God's light on his teacher and on his peers. I love Clay so much and he has been such a joy. I already miss my days with him, but I know I can't hang on to him forever. It is going to be an exciting year!!
