Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Beach Photo's

Beach Boys
Fun in the Sea Oats Jungle
Ok, we are looking too grown up here!
Ok Mom, please stop taking photos.

I have had such a great time here in Gulf Shores, AL. The oil spill did not keep us from having fun in the sun! Here is a recap of our trip.

Best Places to Eat:
*The Original Oyster House - a Huge family favorite!
*LuLu's (under the bridge) - super fun for the whole family, but a super long wait!
*Sea and Suds - Best Shrip Sandwich with a wonderful view of the ocean

Best Daily Activities:
*Playing in the Pool while watching the beautiful ocean waves
*Waterville USA - the boys had a blast. Clay especially loves the water slides and Caleb enjoyed the lazy river (my personal favorite as well :)
*Scoops - Best icecream! I love the chocolate!

Worst Injury Winners:
1st Place goes to my grandmother Don - she cut her finger and had to get 5 stitches! She is doing great.
2nd Place goes to my mother, Paige - she fell into the pool and bruised both legs and hurt her arm. I think she was jealous of Don's attention :) Just kidding.
3rd Place goes to Clay - he fell out of his chair and scraped up his arm. A little neosporin made it all better.

After 23 years of tracking our families worse injuries while at the beach, I am proud to say, I have never won this contest!

I have really enjoyed getting to know my Nephew Luke this week. He learned to crawl while here, so I got to witness one of his special milestones. So neat! I love this little boy.

I have also really enjoyed watching my boys experience the same beach I grew up loving. It brings back such special memories. I am so blessed.
I pray that each family have the opportunity to make there own special memories.

God Bless and Good night!
