Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

So Thankful

I just had to write and give Praise to our Lord for keeping Clay safe today.

Clay was riding his bike this afternoon as usual and asked me if he could cross the street. I told him he could as long as he was very careful. I watched him as he made the circle and I saw how he looked both ways when he crossed the street. He was doing a great job.

Well, all of the sudden I heard him crying and in one big flash, I saw him on the side of the road, his bike in the street, and a car stopped on the road. I knew he had been hit. My heart was pounding, my stomach falling, and my legs were running!! I got to Clay's side and I was so grateful to see only scrapes on his leg and arm.

I asked the lady who had stopped and gotten out of the car what had happened. Had Clay hit her car? I was so thankful that he had not. He just didn't see her coming from around the corner, so when he saw her, he tried to turn his bike and he fell over. When he fell off his bike he instinctively ran to the side of the road - out of the way of the car.

I know God must have been looking down on Clay, because most cars travel this particular corner too fast to have been able to stop, and this lady had been going slow enough that Clay was able to get out of harms way. I am grateful to this women and so Thankful to God!!!

I know we can't keep chains on our children, but I sure wish i could sometimes.

Be sure to have your kiddo's wear a helmet.

So Thankful,
Berkli
