Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Who knew cleaning could be so much fun!

Look how hard they are working.
Mom, can I have some more cleaner.
I need to get a little closer.

This morning I decided to tackle a not so exciting task - cleaning the inside of the refrigerator. I started taking everything out. I got out the spray and the sponge and was starting to work. All of the sudden, Clay came in and asked me if he could help. Well, of course!! Soon, Caleb came in and he wanted to help. Before I knew it, the task I had been dreading became one I really enjoyed. The boys saw cleaning as a way to get a little messy and play in some water. They LOVED it! I loved it too. We had it spic in span in know time. Those boys did such a great job! I was so proud of them. I need a much better attitude about cleaning. I can learn a lot from my little helpers.

My tip for the day, the next time you have a project you are not looking forward to, if it is safe, ask your kiddo's if they want to help. You might surprised by the joy it brings them and you.
