Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Flying Coasters

Oh, what a day. It started off with the beautiful sounds of my boys waking us up so sweetly (we actually like for them to wake us up) and soon turned into the screaming sounds of Clay. He had been hit in the head with a "flying coaster." Caleb, my sweet, sweet Caleb had thrown it across the room (not sure why - maybe for Clay to catch) and it hit Clay just above the eye. Poor Clay was in pain and I think in shock that he had been hit. Clay's day didn't get much better.

We went to Richard's brother's house for lunch and had a great time and a great meal. Kristy, you are a great hostess and chief! Clay, Caleb, and Cousin Byron all played so well together today - the laughter was beautiful. But, as we were rapping things up and about to leave, Clay tipped over the toy shopping cart he was pushing around and fell over and hurt the exact same spot on his eye that had been hurt this morning. Again, more sad cries from Clay. I felt so bad for him. What a rough day for the little guy.

Clay and Caleb are now sleeping :) Hopefully, they will wake up and be ready for some calm evening fun!! (so sure that will happen ;) I do hope that there will be no more flying items or tipped over toys!!

Have a safe, blessed, and hopefully peaceful night everyone!!
