Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Summer Fun!

The past couple of weeks have been super busy and fun.
We had a wonderful time in Branson, where we stayed at Big Cedar Lodge - an amazing family place.
We also went to Silver Dollar City where the boys as well as Mom and Dad had a great time together.
For the past five years we have celebrated Father's Day in Branson. This was a special year where the boys really understood this special day. They sure LOVE their Daddy!
I am sure the builders of this stone column are wishing they had made it less like a rock wall. I turned away for a second and this is what I found (below)
Here I am with my dear friend Ginny. She is such a precious friend. Our husbands work for the same company and we were both were able to spend this Company sponsored family weekend together. Note: She has a wonderful cooking blog you should check out :)
Richard and I were on our way to his awards banquet. I was so proud of his accomplishments. (Don't you like how he wore a tie that matched my favorite dress :)
While at Big Cedar I decided to run their 5K track. It was beautifully landscaped through hills, creeks, and a lake, but there should have been a "caution, you will need to be revived via oxygen"half way through the 'up hill both ways' course :)
Around mile 2 I got lost and thought I might have to have Richard come and find me. Fortunately, I finally found my way back. It was a great workout, but wow was it tough. Needless to say, I only attempted this 5K once.
The boys loved their first time on the Alligator :)
Here are the boys lined up for the rock throw. Clay came in second and Caleb was so embarrassed by his throw he cried :(
We got to ride on a chuck wagon. It was a lot of fun!
It was a great weekend with my family. I love them all so very much!
