Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Happy Friday!

Oops! Pizza anyone :)

I posted this photo on Facebook. I got confused and thought I was supposed to host playgroup this week, but after I cleaned the house, bought all the food and lit all the candles, no one showed up. So I checked the evite and realized playgroup is NEXT week. So funny! The Binns family has been enjoying ALOT of pizza! The boys are not complaining :) We mom's just get over loaded in our minds don't we :) Time to Learn our States!

Richard was so excited to share his childhood US puzzle with the boys today. He has been waiting for them to be old enough to take care of it and today was the day. I have always been so amazed at how Richard knows so much geography and hopefully, the boys will too. They had a great time with it today! And who knows, maybe I will learn something too :)

I LOVE Old navy!

I realized that I have no shorts for this summer, so I headed to Old Navy. Unfortunately, my legs are just too long and too large for the upber short shorts hanging on all the racks :) I finally found one that hit a couple inches about the knee, but after looking a long time in the mirror, I decided that I am just not meant for shorts-so not flattering on me.

So, I decided to look for a skirt. My friend Rachel is such a fashionista :) I love her colorful style. I set out on a mission to find something fun and flirty. So, after some exploring, I found some great finds, on sale. Yippee! And to top it all off, when I got to the checkout, I presented an Old Navy gift card I found in my purse that I didn't think had any money on, but IT DID! Yippee!

1st Day at the Pool!

Clay was out of school today, so we took it easy, ate a nice meal and ran some errands and then I thought it would be fun, being that it was so nice outside, to take them to the pool for the first time this summer. They had such a great time. Richard even came after work and unlike me jumped into the water and played with the boys while I read a book. Note: This is why the boys like their dad so much. He is way more fun!

Have a great Memorial Weekend and remember to spend some time giving thanks for the Men and Women who have and continue to fight for our country.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1 (NIV)

God Bless, Berkli
