Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

I felt so loved!

Me and Wonderful Dad
Dear Family Friends - Jan and Linda
Bonnie, a wonderful family friend and my Mom and Baby Luke

Don, Mrs. Block, Mrs. Samuel, and Mrs. Dickey
Meredith, Jamie, and my sister-in-law Laura
Carrie and her future writer and son Sam, and my friend Debbie
The Reason I became a writer!
My darling nephew Luke

I had the most wonderful time with my family and some dear friends last weekend. I had the privilege of having a book signing in my hometown. I had no idea how special they would all make me feel.

Four of my mom's dearest friends, Jan, Linda, Bonnie and Charlotte Thompson hosted a Southern Style Coffee for friends and my sweet family. We had such a wonderful time visiting together. I hadn't seen many of these sweet people in years. I even had the blessing of seeing my high school English teacher, Mrs. Hamilton. I loved her as a teacher.

One of my favorite parts of the entire weekend was meeting this precious little boy, Sam Cook. His mother told me he writes a neighborhood newspaper. He was so fun to talk to. I know he has a great future in Journalism ahead of him! He even came to my book signing and purchased a book - with his own money! He made my day! I hope my little boys have a love for writing too.

The book signing at Lantern Bookstore in Paragould was unbelievable. I knew the people of Paragould were wonderful and supportive, but I never dreamed how many would come out. It was like a party in the store. I had so much fun! My grandfather was so cute - he kept asking the patrons for tips ( for being so cute I suppose :) My parents, brother and sister-in-law and darling nephew attended. It was so great. I sure missed my brother, Don Tyler, but he had work and a big assignment due in school. It was such a wonderful day!

I love my parents, grandparents and brothers so very much and I cannot thank them enough for all of the support they have shown me. I also cannot thank the people of Paragould enough for taking time out of their day to show their love and support. I loved growing up in this great town. It is still full of amazing people.

Philemon 1:4 (NIV)
I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers,

God Bless,
Berkli
