Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Asleep in their Beds and almost 4!

Snuggled together
Birthday Boy!

In the first photo, my little boys are sleeping side by side on the top bunk. Caleb really wanted to sleep with Clay when we first bunked the beds, so Clay told him he could sleep with him on Saturday nights! So, every Saturday night, Caleb climbs up in bed and they have a little party. I really thought they would sleep on opposite ends of the bed, but when I went in to check on them, this is how I found them - so sweet! Even though they fight - a lot, I know deep down they love each other. All I have to do is look at this photo, and know their true feelings! I love it!

I took the second photo this evening - the eve before Caleb's 4th birthday! He is wearing our funny birthday mask. Who evers birthday it is gets to wear this mask. The boys love it! Caleb thought it was so funny and even posed willingly for this photo! I love Caleb so much and I cannot believe he will be four tomorrow. Here are a few fun Caleb facts:

1. He loves to show me his Karate moves. Kick Left, Kick Right, Punch Left, Punch Right. So funny!
2. He loves to tell me funny stories and then say, "Just joking." I love it!
3. He loves Max and Ruby, Olivia, Wonder Pets, and Tranin and the Dragon (That is how Caleb says How to Train a Dragon :)
4. He loves putting on his "fast shoes" and running around the house at "super speed."
5. He loves to play castle.
6. He loves to trade stuffed animals with his friend Faith. They "babysit" them for one another.
7. He calls TV shows "movies" no matter how long or short they are.
8. He loves brownies and icing, but not the actual cake.
9. He LOVES his big brother and he really wants to do everything just like him.

I love you precious Caleb. You bring me so much joy. I love how you snuggle with me every morning and how you whisper "I love you Mommy" in my ear. I love that you still like me to pick you up (even though you are getting really heavy :), and I love your precious hugs! I hope this is a wonderful and exciting new year of your life. I am so blessed and thankful that God allowed me to have you four years ago! Happy Birthday!
