Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Finally Back on the Blog :)

Weekend with the Girls! Happy Birthday Sarah!
Last weekend was so fun! We spent the night at the Embassy and then spent the morning at the Embassy Spa Botanica. It was wonderful and so relaxing. I was so blessed to spend time with these special ladies. I was also so thankful to Richard for taking such great care of the boys. Poor Clay even got sick on Friday night :( Thanks Richard.
Men and their shoes - not in the closet :) It used to bother me that Richard would leave so many shoes out around the house. Now, after 8 years of marriage, I just learn accept that this is just the way he is. Can anyone out there relate? ) I love him anyway!
Clay and Caleb flew in their playhouse to Ohio - this is what they took: ball, backpack filled with toys, remote control motor cycle, and another box filled with cars - the essentials of course :)

About to take off on their airplane!
Our First Tree - I love the Fall!

Things have been really busy at the Binns house. Soccer is in full swing and the boys are loving it! Clay scored his first goals of the season last Saturday. So thrilling. I love the smile on Clay's face when he plays. It doesn't matter if he wins or loses or scores a goal. He just loves being out on the field. Caleb is loving being a part of the City's Little Kicksters program. I love how much he is learning. He is having so much fun! Richard is very busy at work and his community activities. I am so very proud of him. God has really blessed us.

What have I been up to? I am busy with the Marketing phase of my new book, a Minute for Mommy. It is my first book and I feel so blessed to have this opportunity. In addition to my tithe, I plan to donate a percentage of sales to local church organizations and charities. If you have a church group or organization you would like to be a recipient of these funds, please post this on my facebook page or leave a comment below. More information about this will be available on my upcoming Website. I feel very strongly about giving back and all I have comes from the Lord.

My facebook is up and running (link up above on the right of this blog) where I hope to bring Mommy's together to share their mommy testimony's about what has taught them through the experiences they share with their children. I really want to draw Mom's of all ages together to share their personal experiences and help each other along the way. Below is a little info about my book. I hope you will check it out. It would make a great baby gift or daily devotional. My hope is that it helps mom's realize they are not alone on this journey of motherhood.

About the book:
You know you’re a mom when:
•You cannot remember the last time you took a shower.
•Laundry is an everyday activity, but folding it is not.
•You are eating chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, or pizza…again!

But you also know you’re a mom when:
•Your heart melts when that sweet little voice says, “I love you, Mommy.”
•Your fridge is covered with special crafts, photos, and award ribbons.
•Hearing your child sing brings you joy and a smile.

Moments like these make being a mother worthwhile, and A Minute for Mommy is the perfect devotional to help you cherish and remember each one. Join Berkli Binns as she reflects on her motherhood experiences and lessons God has taught her through her children.

With thirty-one inspirational devotionals, you can read through it in a month or just pick it up when you need some encouragement. Take A Minute for Mommy, and you’re sure to be drawn closer to your children and, more importantly, the Lord.

Note: a Minute for Mommy is now available. Books may be purchased directly from the Author for $15.00 (tax included).
