Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Picnic in the Closet

Jaden and Clay - before the rain storm

We won't let a little tornado warning get us down!

This morning, Clay's friend Jaden came over to play. The boys had a great time outside and then the rain came so we headed inside.

I had the radio on and I started to hear that the storm might be a serious one. A little after noon, out of fear of a tornado, I asked the boys to join me in the closet for a special picnic. We loaded up with goldfish and a banana and passed around a flashlight. We had a good time. I even served them their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the closet as well. They seemed to enjoy the experience.

I was so relieved after the storm had passed. I don't think I could have taken much more of the special closet time. As you can see, it is not a very big space, for a not so small women and three little boys! They were so great and so calm though. I was very proud of them.
