Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Dyeing Easter Eggs is Fun!! (and Messy)

Clay and Caleb had so much fun dyeing Easter eggs for the very first time tonight. They loved dropping the eggs into the dye. Although the directions called for one egg at a time in each cup, the boys thought that it made much more sense to put two eggs into the cup!! Oh, well, what's a little green dye on the counter anyway :)

Unfortunately, Caleb thought the cup of dye could be consumed (after all, it is liquid in a cup). Fortunately, I was able to prevent such drinking by repeated removal of his hands from the cup and a firm, yet loud "No, Don't Drink That!"

It was an eventful egg dyeing experience and the boys really seemed to enjoy it! I also loved it and the memories it brought back to me from when I was much younger. I always loved dyeing Easter Eggs with my brothers and my Dad. Don't you just love remembering the good times from your youth!

I wish you a very Happy Easter!
