Time to hang the ornaments
My Turn :)
My boys and beautiful Emily at the Bentonville Parade
Cute Caleb and darling Sarah KateIt was a wonderful weekend. The boys had an ok time at the parade. Seeing the Ormon girls was probably their favorite part. The boys were sad because they weren't close enough to get any candy. So funny!
The best part of the weekend was watching my boys decorate the Christmas tree.
Earlier this week I was dreaming of the perfect tree...fancy ribbon and ornaments, the kind you see inside a Gift shop. Well, after watching the joy on my boys faces as they hung the box of ornaments they had made over the years, I knew this was how my tree was supposed to look. I too loved seeing the photo framed decor, the stars made out of paper and glitter (which they both wanted to see whose could be placed at the highest point on our tree), and the Angel made out of their hand prints and a snow cone paper holder. They were just so excited to see their creations hanging on the tree. I loved it!
Please Note: I still love the department store looking tree, and if you have one, please don't feel like I am saying you shouldn't. I still LOVE those pretty trees. I think I might have two trees next year, but for now, I will keep the crafty one as my first choice. It makes me smile more than I ever really realized.
God Bless!
