Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Napping on the road

I am so thirsty King for a day

Me and my pals

We have had a lot of fun lately. On Memorial weekend, Richard took us on an almost 8 mile bike ride in Fayetteville. For those of you who really know the Binns Family - that is a lot of exercise for one day :) Caleb had the best end of the deal. Richard pulled him behind his bike. As you can see above, he was quite relaxed. Clay was so amazing. He way out biked me. I was so proud of him.

We were so blessed to have another great weekend with friends and family for Clay's 5th bday party. I loved spending time with my family. We don't see them enough. Also, Jump Zone is so much fun - for children and their parents. Many thanks for all who were able to attend. We collected many children's books for the NWAR Children's Shelter.

Quick update for today:

My boys were so sweet to me today and so patient. I had a rough night of little sleep - my precious Caleb has been up with Asthma issues for the past several days. Well, they let me sleep in until about 10am (with minimal interruptions.) After I finally got myself out of bed, I loved seeing how much fun they had been having. They had watched some TV. Painted in the kitchen with Clay's new paint and played with play dough. There was only one mishap - one more of my decorative balls bit the dust :) Oh well. Four balls, down to two. What can I expect with two little boys. How can they not want to pick up a shiny red ball.

Anyway, the day continued to be fun as we read stories and played with cars. I decided to really get involved with Clay and Caleb when they played dress up. Clay was Iron Man (one his new bday gifts). Caleb was a bumble bee. And, I decided to be a princess. I pulled out one of my old formals and wore my wedding tiara. It was so fun. I love being a Princess!

Well, starting to get tired. Have a great night!
