Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Random Act of Kindness

If you know me well, you know there is no better treat you can give me than a hot cup of coffee! That is why today was such an exciting day.

I was going through the line at Starbucks and when I arrived at the window, the barista (coffee maker) handed me my Vanilla Latte and said - No charge! The lady in front of you paid for it. I was so amazed. I did not even know the lady in front of me. I asked him why she did it, and he didn't know. My heart was full.

A few weeks ago, the local Christian radio station, KLRC did a "Pay it forward" drive thru day encouraging people to pay for the person behind them in line. I don't know if this lady listens to KLRC but it is amazing to me that she lives this life not just one day out of the year, but all year long. What a testimony to the blessings she has been given and wants to extend to others.

We hear so much on TV and the radio about what is wrong in the world, but today's random act of kindness reminded me how much good there is right here in NWAR. I needed that reminder today. God is so good!

I wish I could tell this nice women Thank You, but the best way I knew to honor her was to pay for the person behind me in the Starbucks line.

Little things really can make a difference.

Have a great night and be careful out there (the ice is starting).

Berkli
