Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Binns, Boats, and Ba Ba's

The cutest toes on the boat!
Dad and his little drivers!

Hey, look at my shades!

Cold water won't keep US off the lake!

Ba Ba Paige and Clay are relaxing and taking in the view!
Yummy - chips!!
Ba Ba Phil and Caleb are enjoying lunch!
Oh, cool! Look at that!!
Clay and Caleb made an airplane out of chairs - everyone is flying high!

Memorial Weekend at Lake Norfork was AWESOME!! We had so much fun visiting with Ba Ba Paige and Ba Ba Phil (or Ba Ba Pil as Caleb calls him)! Richard and I got some much needed rest, sleeping until almost 10AM on Saturday morning - my parents took the boys to breakfast and to the park for some grandparent time!! They boys had a blast!!

On Saturday, we spent the afternoon out on the lake. The boys had so much fun!! Clay could hardly wait to get in the water. Richard, thankfully, risked hypothermia to make Clay's day special! Thank you Honey!!

My dad fed us too well! I think we both gained about 10 pounds!! Chips, dip, catfish, pie, BBQ, Hamburgers, biscuits and Dad's homemade gravy!! You name it, we ate it!!

I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the great care my parents took of the boys - from giving them their baths, to singing them to sleep each night, to playing games with them. Richard and I really had a relaxing time. Oh, did I mention, they even changed their diapers!! Oh, happy days!!

We got home on Monday afternoon - fat and happy and ready for a nap!! What is it about doing nothing that makes you so tired!! Well, it is time to get back to normalcy.

I hope you all had a great weekend!! We sure did!
