Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

More Maui Photos

A Wave from my Humpback friend!

Wow!! We were really up there!!

Craters of the Haleakala Volcano on Maui

I really wish I was back at that pool!!

This trip was so amazing. Richard and I went on a rafting adventure and got to see many beautiful humpback whales. It was amazing watching them blow water through their blow holes. We saw baby whales with their mamas and because it was mating season, we saw the momma being pursued by several males (escort whales) at one time. It was quite fascinating. Did you know baby whales can gain 5-7 lbs an hour. Whoa! They are serious eaters.

We also got to drive up the Volcano Haleakala. It was so beautiful and peaceful to be near something that at one time had the power to cause so much damage. Not much wildlife grows up there, but the sheer size of the volcano is amazing. The views from up there were phenomenal. I definitely recommend a trip to a volcano sometime.

Can you tell I am really missing my Maui days.

Good Night!
