Back in the Yard

Its 2015! Time to write a few blog posts. Since I wrote like 4 post in 2014, I am going to make a goal of 5 post in 2015. I don't want to set my standards too high! ha!

I look forward to sharing my current journey with you.

They Make Me Smile

  • Here, I will list recent examples of how my children make me smile. Kids are so funny! My hope is that it will encourage you to keep a record of those special moments in your children's lives that bring joy to your life. Those moments that when you look back on, you can't help but smile.
  • 3/26/2014 (Caleb) At dinner we asked the boys to name three words that describe them. Caleb responded, "Caleb. Caleb. Caleb." Well, you can't get much more descriptive than that :)

Don't EVER leave a pill box out on the counter top!!

This morning was a very scary one for me! I cannot thank Poison Control enough for their help. Don't ever hesitate to call them for anything. Their number is: 1-800-376-4766.

Daddy was packing for his trip this morning and had placed his pill box out on the counter so he wouldn't forget them. I sent the boys into the bathroom to brush their teeth and didn't know the pill box was out for them to see. I walked into the bathroom and saw the pill box in Caleb's hand and it was open. I freaked out!! I don't mean a little freak out, I mean a BIG freak out!!

I asked Caleb if he ate one and he said "Yeah!". I really don't know if he did or not, but I wasn't about to take any chances. I called Richard and he called the Doctor's office who then told us to call Poison Control. Ms. Pam Rosi with Poison Control was so helpful. She told me what the side effects might be. What really meant a lot to me was that Ms. Rosi called back a couple of times throughout the morning just to check on Caleb. Praise the Lord, Caleb seems to be fine - no side effects at all, maybe a little drowsy, but I am very thankful!! Very, Very thankful to God!! Note: Richard, so sorry I freaked out on you this morning. I love You and wish you a great trip to Little Rock!!

  1. We've been there. Actually it was when my now 5 year old was around 2 and he was at my moms house. He got into the bottle of Hylands Teething Tablets and ate a good part of the bottle. My mom couldn't get ahold of me so she called Poison Control. She said the man she spoke with was very nice and told her that he would be just fine. When she finally got ahold of me I couldn't help but to laugh a little bit because I knew he could have eaten the whole bottle and it wouldn't have hurt him. But it's great to a place with quick answers just a phone call away.
